15th September 2010 - Uniquethinking holds the quay to success for Newcastle bar

One of the quayside’s leading bars is set to be transformed into a contemporary gastro pub with the help of Newcastle agency, Uniquethinking.

The bar, which is undergoing a £150,000 refurbishment has been taken over by sisters Alex Marshall, Georgia Powell and Andrea Marshall who have been in the catering business for 15 years, owning Café in the Garden in Eldon Gardens, and Charley’s Bar and Bistro on Shakespeare Street, before taking over The Waterline.

Refurbishment plans began last month, with the external terrace area being completely renovated, providing a modern space for al fresco drinkers and diners to relax.

Renovations will then move indoors with new flooring, lighting, painting and furniture, modernising the building into a relaxing, contemporary place to eat and drink.

Uniquethinking, which works with some of the region’s top leisure companies, is currently rebranding the bar with a new corporate identity, website, print material, online marketing campaign and PR to reflect the changes taking place.
